The Langhe Nebbiolo is the finest and most elegant expression of this grape variety. An intense, garnet color, it anticipates a structure and a tannin that are typical of Nebbiolo. Camigliano Brunello di Montalcino 2015$60.00

Great wine with intense aromas and balanced tannins that is able to express all the characteristics of the “terroir” in quality and typicality in the selection of clones in addition to the choice of the sunniest terrain with the best location. A classy wine that promises an interesting evolution that will extend over time. A wealth of fruit yet remains fresh and vivid with blueberry and black cherry character. Some bark and dried earth. Full body, integrated tannins and a flavorful finish. The elegance and harmonic body of the wine permit its combination with many complex and complicated dishes such as red meat, feathered and furry game also accompanied by mushrooms or truffles.
The Camigliano Brunello di Montalcino 2015, in addition, is excellent with cheeses: aged tomes, parmesan, Tuscan pecorino. It also makes an excellent combination with meat dishes of international cuisine or with complicated sauces. Fattoria dei Barbi Brunello di Montalcino 2015$81.00
The Fattoria dei Barbi Brunello di Montalcino 2015 is produced since 1892 and was awarded many times for its quality. This wine is the “heart” of our production and it is made with 100% Sangiovese grapes from our best vineyards in Montalcino. The end of the Winter and beginning of Spring were marked by heavy rains, which permitted the storage of abundant water supply. A fluctuating climatic condition in April and May gave way to a higher than usual temperature from June until mid August, with very little rain. In the second half of August providential regular rains restored the ideal conditions for the vine’s growth. In September, the temperatures kept mild during day light and fresh at night time. The regular and steady maturation of the grapes allowed a perfect balance between sugar and acidity. Intense, vivid ruby red color with aromas of red berries, maraschino cherry and licorice. The aromas repeat on the palate with more hints of licorice and tobacco. Tannins are firm and a fruit is refreshed by a lively acidity that leads to a long, persistent finish. 96 Points – James Suckling.
Lechtaler Pinot Grigio 2016, Trentino, Italy$17.00
The “Pinot” vines are originally from the Borgogna and they arrived in Trentino from Germany around the beginning of the last century. Here they found their ideal habitat in the cold-temperate climate. The fruit actually ranges from an eponymous grey (thus the name “grigio” in Italian) to a delicate, pinky mauve, with berries of varied shades often found within a single bunch.
The color is straw yellow. The bouquet on the nose is very elegant with the typical varietal scent of Williams pear. Dry, harmonious and fine taste with a good balance and a lingering fruity finish. An excellent aperitif; pairs well with typical Mediterranean dishes and grilled fish such as trout.
Livio Felluga Vertigo Bianca 2016$24.00
Livio Felluga who is one of the most iconic Northern Italian white wine producers makes this delicious and mineral driven Chardonnay and Ribolla Gialla blend that we now have on sale for $15.00. (It normally sells for $27.00-$28.00.) This is a creamy and very well-executed blend of Chardonnay and Ribolla Gialla that opens with exciting aromas of stone fruit, citrus and honey, plus tiny touches of candy and butterscotch (a common aromatic characteristic of Ribolla Gialla). Light, crisp, and citrusy with great minerality. An outstanding value!
With over 2000 indigenous grape varieties to select and compose a blend, an exhaustive search was undertaken to pay homage to this historic region. Maintaining the integrity of the land was paramount while simultaneously considering the result of a dynamic and innovative wine. Powerful and rich fruit from Puglia (Torricella and Manduria) serves as the base with a lively vein of acidity from Barbera (Alba) that stabilizes things in just the right way. The Locations I (Italy) is a blend of Negroamaro and Nero d’Avola from the Southern region of Puglia combined with Barbera from Piemonte in the North. “The black-olive, blueberry and blackberry character, combined with stone and orange peel is very attractive. Full to medium body. Solid core of fruit and a flavorful, zesty finish” 92 Points James Suckling.
