Alquimista Chardonnay 2014, Haiku Vineyard, Mendocino
The Alquimista Chardonnay 2014, Haiku Vineyard, is made from Mendocino fruit grown along the Russian River. The 210-acre Haiku vineyard is located along the east side of the Russian River and the west side of the Mayacamas Mountains in the Sanel Valley of Mendocino County. For more than twenty years, organic viticultural practices have further enriched and strengthened the rich loam soils of the site. These healthy soils consistently produce fruit of the highest quality with pure and intense flavors that make excellent wine. Select rows from this single vineyard fronting the Russian River in the shadows of the Mayacamas Range yield fruit bounding with playful aromas of key lime, lemon and assorted other citrus. Bartlett pear and white peaches call on the palate with balanced acid and tannins. This Chardonnay has a fantastic finish and would pair well with any seafood dish or with you favorite triple cream cheese! 50 cases produced. Double Gold – American Fine Wine Competition.
