Trentadue La Storia Petite Sirah 2018, Alexander Valley
$29.00The 2017 La Storia Petite Sirah was made by blending together most of Trentadue’s best blocks of Petite Syrah including some Zinfandel and Syrah.
Petite Sirah grapes are very sensitive to dry weather conditions which were exaggerated this year due to our deficit irrigation practices. The 2017 Petite Sirah berries were very small and slightly dehydrated resulting in an impressive wine with very dark, opaque color, beautiful nose of concentrated blue berries and blackberries that leads to a full body mouth feel with engagingly soft tannins. After short aeration the nose opens up with the addition of cocoa, slight earthiness followed by brown sugar and a touch of vanilla-contribution of the new oak barrels. Overall the aromas are of fresh dark fruit and very attractive. Longevity, if stored properly, is one of the virtues of this variety and it will give you the most enjoyment in 5-8 years. -
Andrew Murray Tous les Jours Syrah 2017
$26.00The Syrah Tous les Jours has become synonymous with Great Value. It has also garnered some incredible critical success in publications such as The Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusast, Food and Wine Magazine, Robert Parker, Jr., etc. The 2017 vintage is remarkably dark and full-bodied, and yet it has such gentle tannins. It is truly a pleasure to drink, especially at the price. Lots of fruit and spices here…no need to wax poetic about this one as it tastes just plain yummy.
We feel the wine makes an ideal “House Wine” the wine you open just for the heck of it, or just to pour a single glass, the rest to be enjoyed later. And at this price, why not? However, we do not skimp on the winemaking for this wine. We start with great grapes from Paso Robles and the Santa Ynez Valley and use the different climates to create a wine that is both fruity and spicy at the same time. Andrew Murray uses his experiences with both New World and Old World style winemaking to make the most drinkable Syrah imaginable.

2016 Shypoke Petite Sirah Amelia’s Block Napa Valley California USA
$43.00Shypoke calls the Calistoga AVA home. Their dirt to bottle history began in 1904, when Peter Heitz’ great grandparents immigrated from Alsace and literally planted roots. Named after their daughter, Amelia Heitz, who helps craft the 2016 Shypoke Petite Sirah, Amelia’s Block. In the vineyard, she helps her grandfather “Nonno” tend to the vines. Opaque & rich in color. Aromas and flavors of ripe huckleberry, boysenberry and brown sugar. Magnificently judged ripeness, seemingly on the cusp of end-season richness, yet still married to early season freshness. Remarkable.
