Greyscale Cuvee Blanc 2016, Rutherford
“Making wine is living our dream. Growing up with a family vineyard, avidly collecting wines for years, wine tasting in Bordeaux, and developing a curiosity about winemaking inspired us to create our own wine. In 2008, we met Kian Tavakoli, former wine-maker at Clos du Val, who has helped us create small lots of premium Bordeaux style wines. Join us on our journey!” Jean and Larry Rowe
A new world take on a Bordeaux Blanc — partially oaked Sauvignon Blanc mixed with a little Semillon.
The wine has a brilliant pale straw color, lively nose of fresh melon, apricot, and subtle goose-berry notes. It is refreshing on the palate where zesty citrus stars on the midpalate, giving way to more generouse, rounded layers of vanilla cream. Age-worthy, it peaks in brusts of orange blossom and tangerine. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 3-5 years
