JNSQ Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Home > Region > Region - California > JNSQ Sauvignon Blanc 2018

JNSQ Sauvignon Blanc is a fine wine, crafted with grapes from carefully selected blocks in some of the finest regions along California’s cool Central Coast, by the best winemaking team in the region. These wines display an uncommon complexity and balance that gives something special, a je nais sais quoi that is difficult to describe but immediately recognizable on the first sip.

JNSQ Savignon Blanc brings California sunshine from the vineyards to the table. Light and bright, it offers graceful notes of citrus and green apple and hints of tropical fruit. Pear and melon unfold on the palate with subtle floral and savory notes. Dry with refreshing lemon lime citrus fruit and subtle floral notes on the entry. The mid-palate is crisp led with fresh citrus, melon and tropical fruit matched by subtle savory herbal notes and a mineral texture. The finish is a crisp, delicate interplay of lingering citrus and floral notes, complexed by savory herbal and mineral elements that leave the palate refreshed and clean.

The JNSQ bottle is just as distinctive as the wine inside. Fashioned by the finest French glass designer and reminiscent of a luxury perfume bottle, JNSQ is topped off by a resealable stopper. Once the wine inside has been enjoyed, this elegant bottle becomes a keepsake, ideal for displaying fragrances or fresh blooms. Of course, you’ll find countless other ways to repurpose this unique work of art.

Aromas of garden herbs mingle with lime blossom in this fusion of 92% Sauvignon Blanc (clones 1 and Musque) and 8% Sémillon. Ruby red grapefruit and key lime notes mingle with tinges of guava and the hazelnut-butter contribution from the Sémillon. Crisp, Fresh and versatile! Pairs perfectly with artichokes, asparagus and arugula with goat cheese.

You’ll enjoy the pale straw color as you pour the Matanzas Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2019 into your glass, followed by inviting aromas of  fresh peaches, white river rocks, white nectarine and hints of ginger.  There is a savory combination of stone fruits including white peach and nectarine coupled with zest of buddha’s hand. Captivating structure paired with complex flavors develop in the glass. A notable lengthy finish is encased in apricots, white peaches and savory ginger which speak to the age-worthy capability of this Sauvignon Blanc.

  • Fiddlehead Happy Canyon Sauvignon Blanc 2015

    $26.00

The Happy Canyon label not only pays tribute to a unique AVA, but also signifies the signature style of Sauvignon Blanc at Fiddlehead. The place, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA is home to six founding vineyards planted 1996-2001, and is located on the eastern edge of the Santa Ynez AVA. Morning fog lifts to plentiful sunshine, and it is the ideal home to Bordeaux (including Sauvignon Blanc) and Rhone varietals. During Prohibition, a simple alcohol was produced in Happy Canyon and legend has it that folks would “take a trip up Happy Canyon” to purchase the beverage…and the name stuck. In the Fiddlehead Portfolio, it is the most versatile, richer-style Sauvignon Blanc, “with a French twist”. It marries fresh, ripe fruit with creamy, silky textures, much like a Pouilly Fumé style of the Loire Valley.  This Loire Valley inspired wine is most noted for its layers of aromatics and layers of texture. It flaunts a dried apricot perfume, with background hints of oregano and coriander. There is a rich touch of vanilla spice that is melded with Anjou pear and orange blossoms. Grapefruit and honey highlight a plush and lasting finish. A true cornucopia of flavor!  I even picked up a bit of crème brulee, which I’ve never tasted before in a Sauvignon Blanc.  Awesome!  1306 cases made.
