Mohua Sauvignon Blanc 2015
Fruit for the 2015 Mohua Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from a selection
of vineyards within the Lower Wairau Valley, Rapaura and Southern
Valley sub-regions of Marlborough. The fruit was harvested at optimum
maturity, gently pressed and cool fermented to stainless steel to retain
fruit flavor and freshness.
The 2015 Mohua Sauvignon Blanc shows lifted aromas of passion fruit
and lime. The palate is luscious with tropical fruit and bright citrus
characters. Melon, guava and grapefruit flavors combine with a fresh
acidity to give a long lingering finish.

Aromas of stone fruit with hints of fresh cut hay along with notes of kiwi fruit and citrus blossom come forward from this wine. On the pallet, flavors include tangerine, muddled thyme and hints of almond all balanced with crisp acidity, leading to a lingering finish.
Rodney Strong Charlotte’s Home Sauvignon Blanc 2018$19.00Add to cart
Rod Strong established the heritage Sauvignon Blanc vineyard in 1971, naming it Charlotte’s Home in honor of his wife. Today, that vineyard remains the core of the Rodney Strong Charlotte’s Home Sauvignon Blanc 2016, along with other select estate vineyards in the Alexander Valley as well as the Russian River Valley and Dry Creek Valley. Fresh, bright and crisp, the Rodney Strong Sauvignon Blanc 2018 is a wine of balance, richness and aromatic complexity. The Alexander Valley fruit provides the backbone to this Sauvignon Blanc, while the ocean cooled Russian River Valley fruit offers zesty citrus notes of grapefruit, lime blossoms and lemongrass. The warmer Dry Creek Valley fruit gives the wine a wonderful honeydew melon and tropical character. Together, the three valleys make a classic Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc that pairs wonderfully with soft cheeses such as goat cheese, vegetable quiche and a variety of seafood dishes. Rodney Strong supports LUTHER BURBANK CENTER FOR THE ARTS, which offers an array of cultural, popular and family programming selected to enrich and entertain the North Bay community, and CORE (Children of Restaurant Employees), a nationwide program that provides support to children and families of restaurant employees who are experiencing or afflicted by life-altering circumstances.
Fiddlehead Happy Canyon Sauvignon Blanc 2014$26.00Add to cart
The Happy Canyon label not only pays tribute to a unique AVA, but also signifies the signature style of Sauvignon Blanc at Fiddlehead. The place, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA is home to six founding vineyards planted 1996-2001, and is located on the eastern edge of the Santa Ynez AVA. Morning fog lifts to plentiful sunshine, and it is the ideal home to Bordeaux (including Sauvignon Blanc) and Rhone varietals. During Prohibition, a simple alcohol was produced in Happy Canyon and legend has it that folks would “take a trip up Happy Canyon” to purchase the beverage…and the name stuck. In the Fiddlehead Portfolio, it is the most versatile, richer-style Sauvignon Blanc, “with a French twist”. It marries fresh, ripe fruit with creamy, silky textures, much like a Pouilly Fumé style of the Loire Valley. This Loire Valley inspired wine is most noted for its layers of aromatics and layers of texture. It flaunts a dried apricot perfume, with background hints of oregano and coriander. There is a rich touch of vanilla spice that is melded with Anjou pear and orange blossoms. Grapefruit and honey highlight a plush and lasting finish. A true cornucopia of flavor! I even picked up a bit of crème brulee, which I’ve never tasted before in a Sauvignon Blanc. Awesome! 1306 cases made.
