Mutt Lynch MBF Chardonnay 2018

Home > White - All wines > White - Chardonnay > Mutt Lynch MBF Chardonnay 2018

The 2018 Mutt Lynch mbf Chardonnay delivers elegance and balance. Some might call it refined. Having the color of golden straw, the 2018 vintage opens to lovely citrus notes. On the palate, there are fruit forward flavors of lemon and green apple. It’s crispness and structure come from medium acidity. Brenda’s winemaking skills have rendered a medium-bodied wine with a lush mouthfeel and a lovely medium-length finish. Try it with your favorite crab cakes, or with some fresh-caught salmon. Um, yes please!

This label illustrates the Kraken attacking Dubrovnik. Aromatically the 2018 Rabble is driven with crushed pineapple, white peach, pear, and hazelnut notes. The 2018 vintage is characterized by being a drought year, which highlights the minerality in this wine. Wines from these years typically exhibit an interesting saline component “underneath” the fruit. On the palate the 2018 Rabble Chardonnay has luscious mouthfeel with bright acidity. The flavor profile begins with citrus, pear and transitions to a tropical laden finish driven with pineapple and guava.

Sea Sun Chardonnay 2017 is a new California Chardonnay from Caymus whose character speaks to the unique terrain where it is sourced in Santa Barbara, Monterey and Solano Counties. These premier growing regions span several hundred miles and feature subtle differences. The result is a wine featuring the best characteristics of Chardonnay, with fruit flavors, oak and acidity in harmony and balance. It is juicy with scents of lightly grilled mango and interesting layers of smoke, oak, and acid finished bringing it all together with light lemon curd. Sea Sun, a more affordable Mer Soleil, is perfect for your spring and summer lighter dishes – salads, grilled fish and chicken.

  • Rombauer Chardonnay 2018, Carneros

    $42.00

Rombauer Vineyards began producing Chardonnay in 1982. In 1990, the Rombauer family made their first Chardonnay from the Carneros region, where San Pablo Bay meets the southern end of Napa and Sonoma valleys. There, the cool climate and clay soils offer ideal conditions for growing superior Chardonnay with the Rombauer hallmarks — intense fruit flavors balanced by fresh acidity. Enticing aromas of vanilla, melon and mango are layered with apricot, creme brulee, butter and a slight minerality. Those scents are echoed as flavors on the creamy, rich palate, along with peach, pie crust and baking spices. The long, smooth finish is marked by mouthwatering acidity.
