They thought if he couldn’t see the world, then he wouldn’t make his mark. But a blindfold won’t hold him back. It just heightens his other senses. And whether they like it or not, his resilience will leave a lasting impression.
Equally bold and intriguing as the Prisoner, Blindfold is a luscious entry of toasted hazelnut and mandarin is balanced by bright acidity and minerality. The finish is rich and creamy with flavors of lemon zest and caramelized sugar.
Establishing their own spin on a white blend, The Prisoner folks seek out interesting Rhône and aromatic varietals that nicely complement a classic Chardonnay base by partnering with growers dedicated to cultivating alternative varietals in their outstanding vineyard sites to create an intriguing wine with bold flavor. Inviting aromas of lychee, citrus, vanilla, and peach tart. Clean and refreshing flavors of juicy citrus and butterscotch are balanced by a vibrant richness.

Lechtaler Pinot Grigio 2016$20.00
As the weather starts to cool, we think about wines that will accompany our heartier fall meals, including that big holiday – Thanksgiving. Here is Mr. Tom’s perfect companion – the Lechthaler Pinot Grigio 2016. From the beautiful Trentino region this 100% Pinot Grigio is also an excellent aperitif and pairs well with Mediterranean style dishes and grilled fish such as trout. The bouquet is very elegant with the typical varietal scent of Williams pear. There is a dry, harmonious taste with a good balance and a lingering fruity finish.
Tablas Creek Esprit de Tablas Blanc 2016$58.00
The Tablas Creek Vineyard 2016 Esprit de Tablas Blanc is a blend of three estate-grown varietals, propagated from budwood cuttings from the Château de Beaucastel estate. Rousanne provides the core richness, minerality, and flavors of honey and spice, while Grenache Blanc adds green apple and anise flavors, a lush mouthfeel and bright acids. Picpoul Blanc completes the blend, adding a saline minerality and tropical notes. The 2016 vintage was the third consecutive drought year and saw the earliest-ever beginning to the growing season. The result was a vintage with excellent concentration balanced by good freshness, which should be vibrant and powerful young, but with the balance to age. The 2016 Esprit de Tablas Blanc has an appealing nose of fresh pears, wildflower honey and candied pecan, lifted by a spicy notes of anise and orange blossom. The mouth shows flavors of salted honeydew, honeycrisp apple, and more pear, with floral notes of jasmine and citrus blossom reemerging on the long, clean, spicy finish. Already delicious, it should also go out 15 years or more and gain additional nuttiness and complexity with time.
