Peterson Zinfandel 2012 Bradford Mountain
The Peterson Zinfandel 2012 Bradford Mountain Estate encapsulates all the finest qualities of mountain grown Zinfandel from the Dry Creek Valley appellation. Poorer soils and colder nights harness and preserve more of the bright acidity and freshness in the grapes. More sunlight hours at the higher elevation mean darker richer fruit. Aromas of black cherry, ripe plum and raspberry fruit combine with a hint of graphite, cigar box, and vanilla-oak baking spice loveliness. Smoothly textured in mouth, and the palate is very creamy and round, with a finish that is long with lush jammy fruit. Reflective of the 2012 vintage, this delicious and slightly robust Zin will pair beautifully with grilled pork chops served with caramelized onion compote, a juicy lamb burger with crumbled blue cheese or sausage-stuffed grilled portabellas. 81% Zinfandel, 13% Petite Sirah, 6% Grenache.
