Rabble Tempranillo 2017

Home > Region > Region - California > Rabble Tempranillo 2017

From the Rioja clone and aged 12 months in French oak, the Rabble Tempranillo 2017, Mossfire Ranch Vineyard. Made up of 100% Tempranillo, it is opaque purple-colored, offering up a super-expressive bouquet of bacon, tar, mineral, pencil lead, blueberry, black raspberry, and licorice. Smooth-textured, layered, ripe, and sweetly-fruited, this forward pleasurable, lengthy effort has 2-3 years of aging potential but can be enjoyed now and over the next 10 years. Rabble labels are renditions of historical wood block prints from the Nuremberg Chronicle (late 1400’s), textured and tactile, depicting nature’s wrath. Nature is ruthless when it goes ignored. This label illustrates the Great Wave smashing into the Spanish Coast.

The interplay of provenance, artistry, freedom, and creativity is what inspires Locations.  Much like generations of craftsmen before them, they were intent to capture the nobility of Spain through its geographic diversity. Locations E (Espana) incorporates fruit with Mediterranean and Continental influences  sourced from five regions in particular: Priorat, Jumilla, Toro, Rioja, and Ribera del Duero. Old vines, low yields, and a palate attuned to excellence, work in harmony and enable us to reach our goal of producing a great wine, from the best locations in the world. “Aromas of sweet strawberries with citrus and oral undertones, as well as blueberries and hot stones. Full-bodied with chewy tannins and a avorful, lightly austere nish. This shows tone and texture. A blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo, Monastrell and Carinena.” 92pts James Suckling.

  • Vina Robles The Arborist 2019, Paso Robles

    $24.00

A caretaker of trees, The Arborist pays homage to the iconic Paso Robles oaks.

This estate blend is made mainly of varieties grown in our Huerhuero Vineyard, located directly behind the winery in the rolling hills of Paso Robles. Here, warm afternoons and cool evening breezes shepherd the grapes to perfect ripeness.

The wine was aged in both small and large format French, Hungarian and American oak barrels for 18 months in order to add complexity while enhancing a soft, velvety finish. This fruitforward wine is a natural go-to for just about any meal.

Starting off in the glass with a lovely dark garnet color, you’ll love the aromas of Cherries and plum with hints of spice, fine tobacco and chocolate. The Vina Robles Arborist 2019 is medium bodied with dark stone fruit, fleshy textured tannins into the finish. 41% Syrah, 35% Petite Sirah, 12% Grenache, 12% Tannat.
Through a partnership with One Tree Planted, Vna Robles plants one tree for every bottle of The Arborist sold.
