Sea Smoke Chardonnay 2018
The 2018 Sea Smoke Chardonnay was aged for a total of 10 months prior to bottling with no fining and no filtration. Character: An elegant Chardonnay with aromas of Starfruit, Mango and Ceanothus. Complemented by Orange zest and a slight nuttiness in the focused mid-palate and the refreshing cool climate acidity of the estate vineyard.

Namesake Vineyard is located at the western edge of the Carneros Region where winds from the Pacific and from San Pablo Bay moderate temperatures during the growing season.The vineyard is located on Meadowlark Lane, and “Namesake” refers to the meadowlarks which frequent the vineyard each spring.The vineyard was originally planted over 30 years ago with Martini clone 4, and now features a mixture of the original vines and other Chardonnay clones.The soil of the vineyard site is Haire clay loam which provides the vines with a heavy, mineral-rich clay, interlaced with seams of streambed rocks. Medium gold in color. The Rock and Clay Namesake Chardonnay 2017 has lovely yellow apple and citrus aromas accented with spice and mineral notes. Mouthfilling fruit flavors with persistent citrus finish.

Pale straw in color, with intriguing aromatics of grilled lemon, honeysuckle and pear emerging up front. On the palate, notes of fresh ginger, kumquat and dried straw mingle with weightier impressions of sourdough toast, caramel and roasted marshmallow. The mouthfeel is velvety, with a touch of oiliness on the mid-palate along with an energetic streak of acidity that anchors a voluptuous and polished finish.
Rabble Chardonnay 2019$25.00
This label illustrates the Kraken attacking Dubrovnik. Aromatically the 2019 Rabble is driven with crushed pineapple, white peach, pear, and hazelnut notes. The 2019 vintage is characterized by being a drought year, which highlights the minerality in this wine. Wines from these years typically exhibit an interesting saline component “underneath” the fruit. On the palate the 2018 Rabble Chardonnay has luscious mouthfeel with bright acidity. The flavor profile begins with citrus, pear and transitions to a tropical laden finish driven with pineapple and guava.
