White Oak Mighty Oak 2013
The White Oak 2013 Napa Valley Mighty Oak is a fantastic red blend of Malbec, Merlot and Syrah. The wine was blended early to assure the marriage of flavors and then aged 18 months in Bordeaux style French and Hungarian oak barrels. Notes of black cherry and raspberry combined with gentle hints of candied walnut, Herbs de Provence and coffee form the core of this harmonious blend. These aromas and flavors are backed by gentle tannins, leading to a full, ripe finish. We had a bottle last night with chicken and eggplant parmesan and it was perfect!
“Why Mighty? Why Oak? The story of the name of this wine is quite simple. The name of the winery is White Oak, the name of the owner is Bill Myers, affectionately known as the Mighty Oakster. So we, not he, thought it would be a nice homage to Bill. Proprietary Red Blends are meant to be able to accompany many dishes. We feel that this wine fits that description. Now that you know what it is about, give it a try – we think you will be happy you did!” the White Oak staff.
This great wine is yours for only $199 per case!
