The 2018 WineSnob* Pinot Noir is from a single vineyard in the Laguna Ridge area of the Russian River Valley. The vineyard is farmed using organic practices. The wine was aged for a year-and-a-half in 25% new and 75% neutral French oak. It is light in body and has fruity notes of strawberry and cherry cola layered with earthy notes of mushroom and wet leaves. It’s a nice wine to sip on its own, but it also pairs especially well with mushroom-rubbed pork chops or stuffed mushrooms, truffle fries, and veggie pizza.

    Named after the mile marker of the Estate Fiddlestix Vineyard, 7.28, on Santa Rosa Road, which is smack dab in the middle of the glorious Santa Rita Hills AVA and sandwiched by the Santa Rosa Hills to the south and the Santa Rita Hills to the north. This wine reflects the cool climate influence on Fiddlestix fruit and is a blend of all six clones planted in this Vineyard. The terroir always gives forth to great color, fabulous spicy aromatics, broad textures, a juicy mid-palate and sassy acidity, and produces a wine saturated with the essence of smoky, black cherry cola. It's incredibly true to Pinot noir, true to its roots and always aged in the bottle prior to release for your ultimate enjoyment. Fiddlestix Vineyard delivers every time!

    These Pinot Noir vineyards are all located in the cool valleys of Mendocino County. The winemaker employs traditional Burgundian wine making methods along with extended aging for 30 months in 5% new French Burgundy oak barrels.

    This wine is dark purple garnet in color and Burgundian in style; with rich, full and attractive aromas/flavors of ripe black cherries, plum, toasty oak and hints of earth. Soft tannins, balanced acidity and a rich, velvety mouth-feel produce a luscious wine that is enjoyable now and will develop more complexity with additional aging in the bottle.

    Delicious companions with this wine are duck with dried cherries, sage-roasted double pork chops with stuffing, and roasted lamb with Mediterranean vegetables.
